Poor picture, but it's of the Mississippi Bridge between Memphis and Arkansas.  Everytime we saw the river (crossed it twice in Memphis and saw it all the time in Louisiana), someone in our car would quote Clark Griswold from the original Vacation movie, "The ole Miss....Deeeeeep River."

This is what we saw in Mississippi, but finally we arrived in Alabama and then our hotel.  The view from our room--very pretty, but also VERY cold.

And in the evening:

Only about 40 degrees, but that's 55 degrees warmer than Iowa when we left it.  It's supposed to be much warmer tomorrow.

We drove through Southern Iowa, Missouri (thumbed our noses at St. Louis & the Cardinals), Arkansas (no Duggar sightings), and Tennessee (in Memphis for Elvis's 75th bday), and stopped in Mississippi.
